Hey Lys, I'm Chris, 27 in a few days and I live in the UK - I live with my gf, two cats and a dog and make my living working customer service on the phones for a car insurance company. Hobbies include JG and other video games, watching TV and generally lazing about the house - I'm not a total slob but I do struggle to find things outside of the internet to keep me occupied when not working (40+ hours a week). I started playing JG approximately 10 years ago and it's pretty much as I remember it to be.. Once again I let it consume my life (which it has a habit of doing!). Over the time I've played all factions and tried out many different roles from helping econ, pvp, pirating etc. Although these days I can't bring myself to be mean to other pilots in space so I always play the good guy Its awesome to have you in the game and in the squad, despite JG's dated graphics the game brings an excellent community and family. -Chris- / AltF4 / F417H

Hello Shadowhart, thank you for your answer too ^_^ Old tssss^^ 78 is old not 48 You are in your best years Be happy about it! You should totally put a picture of you in the forum too It is great, that you made this step writing a novel. I often thought about doing writing, but when i sit there its like i got so many things to choose from, that the sheet of paper just remains empty Maybe ill participate in a writing class one day as a hobby. What is the story of your novel about? Or the genre? Is it finished in your mind allready, or are you still developing charackters and story details as you are writing it?? It must be an awesome thing to have an actual idea you are able to write on. Im jealous hihi Fashion design? Thats curious gg do you need a model with a very tiny size *volunteers* ^^ You should totally stay more online in the forum. Its quite silent :-) Elisabeth.

I use the fashion design for the writing - they go hand in hand. Different lands = different "costumes". I am switching between two novels - one sci-fi/fantasy and one strictly fantasy. The sci-fi is about a human from earth finding himself on a totally new world and how he adapts and functions and eventually finds his way home. the fantasy storyline is about a young lost prince who grows up as a gypsy. They are both finished in my mind - the problem is that my writing style from before Cancer/chemo is totally different (I don't know why) from now. its like the game where you write something and hand the paper to a friend to write the next paragraph... two different writers. Its taken me a while to figure out how to work with that. Now I'm back on track. as for being happy about 48 - I am. This is the happiest I have ever been. I have a great family, great friends, Jumpgate is back, I am no longer taking chemo - Life is great! but you're right. Many people do not see/appreciate whats going on righ tnow.. they look to the summer, or the day the kids start school or graduate, looking forward is great as long as that's not your entire focus. Since my dad is home from the hospital I'll have more time to chat here and there. Can't wait to see you in game. Shadow

Name: Jim Pilots: 5Rings (Quant), CrazE (Oct), Target (Sol) Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Age: When the first incarnation of JG came out, I was older than Shadowhart is now! Occupation: Retired. I worked as a software engineer, usually doing communications and operating system software. I was there when the Internet was invented/funded by the US Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA), and consisted of only three universities (mine being one of them). I implemented many communications and display protocols before the Internet went commercial (early 90's) and TCP/IP and HTML became the standards for these things. JG History: I love the 3D freedom of movement and viewing. In the first incarnation of JG, 5Rings joined a Quant factional squad (not present in the current incarnation) that fought against Octs and Sols all the time. I stayed in the game for two years, which was much longer than the rest of my squad because I liked much more of the game. I became a Quantar Optimus and accumulated 1.3 billion credits (it was much easier to make money then with matt farming). I came back after a few years as CrazE because I always thought that the Octavians had the best fighting ships.
